Description Barren River State Resort Park is located near Kentucky’s famous cave area, which includes Mammoth Cave National Park, the longest cave system in the world. Surrounded by rolling, tree-covered hills, the lodge overlooks the beautiful 10,000-acre lake. The lodge has 51 rooms, offers full amenities, and is open year- round. In addition, the Park features 22 cottages as well as 99 campground sites.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park is currently seeking a Park Worker I in the Housekeeping Unit. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join and work with the Parks Housekeeping Unit. Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Cleaning of guest rooms and cottages
• Cleaning of common areas
• Cleaning of the lodge, restaurant and common area bathroom facilities
• Setting up and tearing down meeting rooms in the convention center.
• Delivering the very best customer service to all park guests.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance program as directed.
• Assisting the Housekeeping department in various other housekeeping duties for the park.

The Park Worker I in the Housekeeping Unit will report directly to the Housekeeper Supervisor.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of and to help the housekeeping department and assist in making Barren River a better State Park. This is a full-time position with the state of Kentucky, with excellent benefits and retirement.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
