Parking Attendant

Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Inc. is seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Parking Attendant to assist with parking, facility preparation, and general operational support during funeral and memorial services.

This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, respectful, comfortable working with the public, and available to work a flexible schedule based on scheduled services.

**Responsibilities:**

• Direct and coordinate vehicles entering and exiting the parking areas.
• Greet guests and provide directions and general assistance.
• Monitor parking areas to help maintain safe and orderly traffic flow.
• Report approximately two (2) hours prior to the first scheduled service, as assigned.
• Open the parking structure before services and secure the area after services.
• Prepare the facility before services, including sweeping the lanai, wiping benches and chairs, and ensuring public areas are clean and presentable.
• Assist with setting up, moving, resetting, and restoring chairs, furniture, and service areas.
• Wipe down and sanitize seating and common areas as needed.
• Assist with removing and properly disposing of flowers following services.
• Restore the chapel, lanai, parking areas, and surrounding facilities following services.
• Assist with general janitorial, maintenance, security, and operational duties as assigned.
• Report accidents, property damage, maintenance concerns, or security issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and compassionate demeanor when interacting with grieving families, guests, and coworkers.

**Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous parking attendant, customer service, hospitality, facilities, or similar experience preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a funeral service environment and interacting respectfully with grieving families.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, lift, and move chairs, furniture, and equipment as needed.
• Flexible availability is required, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on scheduled services.
