Part-qualified Accountant

An established Chartered Accountancy Practice is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their experienced team. It is ideal for candidates with 2+ years of practice experience and a passion for delivering quality financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Preparation: Prepare year-end non-audit company accounts and working papers to review stage.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets.
• Journal Entries: Post journals onto accounting software with a solid understanding of core accounting principles.
• Management Accounts: Assist with the preparation of periodic management accounts.
• Statutory Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements in line with agreed deadlines, strictly following checklists, procedures, and process requirements.
• Year-End Close: Assist with year-end close-out procedures and year-end journals.
• Taxation: Assist with the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns.
• Client Relations: Liaise confidently with clients over the phone and through written correspondence.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist managers on special, project-based client assignments.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications: Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA).
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
• Mindset: Results-oriented, organized, and capable of working on own initiative.
• Skills: Excellent technical abilities, strong financial acumen, and a willingness to perform a hands-on role.
• Communication: Strong written and spoken English with excellent customer care skills.

Technical Expertise:

• Practice Software: CCH Accounts Production (or equivalent).
• Cloud Accounting: Surf, Xero, and Sage Line 50.
• Tax Software: Corporate Tax preparation software.
• Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
