Salary: £30,000–£45,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata, depending on experience. Your actual annual salary will reflect your agreed weekly hours.

Your role

You’ll use your accountancy practice experience to support a varied portfolio of clients, keeping their records accurate and helping them meet their accounts and VAT deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for sole traders and limited companies
• Completing bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns
• Maintaining client records using Xero
• Answering client queries and liaising with HMRC when required
• Organising your workload to meet deadlines

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice
• AAT Level 4 or a higher accountancy qualification, such as ACCA
• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
• Confidence communicating with clients
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage their workload

Experience using Xero would be an advantage.
