Part-time ACT/SAT Test Prep Tutor

Pathways of Potential ACT/SAT/AP Prep is a small, family-owned ACT, SAT, and AP test prep firm located in Glencoe, IL. We provide specialized one-on-one tutoring and small-group classes. We partner with families to give every student the personalized support, expert guidance, and confidence they need to achieve their best ACT/SAT and AP scores. We specialize in supporting students of all levels, including students with testing accommodations, IEPs and 504 plans, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Tutoring with Pathways of Potential is an ideal part-time job that allows flexibility with scheduling, great pay, and robust training to make you an expert on these standardized tests and help you build confidence and skills with our students.

Our ideal candidate:

• Strong academic credentials (bachelor’s required, masters or higher a plus)
• Excellent testing fundamentals; Perfect scores are not required, but comfort and proficiency with the material is essential
• A fun personality and the ability to connect with students
• Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends
• **Must be able to work in person in our office in Glencoe, Illinois**

Responsibilities:

• Individually run and deliver high-quality, engaging one-on-one or small group test prep
• Adapt existing Pathways of Potential curriculum and materials to fit individual student studying, pacing, and learning needs
• Write short progress updates to parents, assign homework and manage homework grading for each student
• Maintain a supportive environment for all students

What Pathways of Potential offers:

• Competitive pay: $50-$100 per hour starting pay (based on experience)
• Curriculum Support: Pre-planned lessons and curriculum available, but there is also flexibility to plan your own lessons to meet individual student needs (approved planning time is paid)

Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
