Part-Time and On-Call Custodian

Schedule:

· Seasonal Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

· On-Call Hours: Nights and weekends for school events as needed and occasional vacation coverage for regular custodian

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated custodian to join our facilities team. This role will ensure that our school is clean, orderly, and ready for both regular activities and special events.

Responsibilities:

· Greet organizations at the door when they arrive to let them in, maintain the facility during their event, make sure the school is ready for school the next day, and lock up for the night.

· Perform routine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, offices, and common areas

· Clean and restock restrooms

· Empty trash and recycling bins

· Set up and break down spaces for school events (chairs, tables, equipment)

· Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed

· Secure the building at the end of shifts

· Respond to cleaning needs during events

· Fill in for regular custodian in his absence

Qualifications:

· Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

· Flexibility to work additional hours for nights/weekends on short notice

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $22.00 per hour
