Job Description: Part Time Art Instructor

Daily Requirement: 12:15p-2:15p Mondays through Thursdays

Pay: Non-Exempt - $20/hour

Reports to: Curriculum and Finance Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

The art instructor will be responsible for teaching Art in Preschool and Elementary from 12:15p-2:15p Mondays through Thursdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

-A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Early Childhood environment

-Experience with planning, coordination, and implementation of art and creative expression lessons

• Familiarity with the Montessori Method and principles

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintains an orderly, calm, respectful, positive, and engaging learning environment using the Love and Logic approach

• Provides the children with a "prepared environment" for art - aesthetically appealing, organized, clean and inspiring

• Presents lessons in art that are consistent with the developed objectives

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES

-Plans lessons on a weekly basis

-Provides the Curriculum and Finance Administrator with an in-service checklist every six weeks

-Submits the required professional development documentation of hours to the Head of School

-Carries out all specific procedures and responsibilities as outlined by the TMS Employee Manual
