Part-Time - ART instructors/Teachers

Job Summary

Cordovan Art School is seeking enthusiastic and skilled part-time ART instructors/teachers in the Spring area. This role involves teaching traditional art techniques, including acrylic painting, watercolor, and drawing, to kids and teens. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for art education, a cheerful personality, and the ability to inspire young artists through engaging instruction. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory, as we value positive communication and a love for sharing art with others.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate art lessons in acrylics, watercolors, and drawing to children and teenagers.
• Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and adapt to students’ skill levels.
• Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that motivates students to explore their creativity.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive learning experience.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean classroom environment conducive to artistic exploration.
• Assist in setting up art supplies and managing classroom materials efficiently.
• Participate in school events or workshops as needed to promote the arts program.

Requirements

• Must be skilled in traditional painting and drawing techniques.
• Knowledge of multiple art mediums such as acrylics, watercolors, and pencils is a must.
• Cheerful, positive personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate well with children, teens, and parents.
• Previous teaching or instructing experience is preferred.
• Availability to teach during evening hours and/or weekends.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
