Part-Time Art Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. This role involves following a structured curriculum, fostering creativity, and producing quality artwork. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing artistic expression. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational community while working approximately 9-15 hours per week. Paid Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow comprehensive art lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student developmental levels
• Arrive to class on time and prepare the classroom activities.
• Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students
• Enroll new students and complete the registration process
• Create new art projects from time to time.
• Assess student progress and conduct meetings with parents when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student success and address individual needs
• Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding lesson objectives, progress, and upcoming activities

Experience

• Experience in drawing cartoon characters, using watercolors, and acrylics.
• Prior classroom experience in art education or related fields is preferred
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with children of various ages.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
• Having patience and an open mindset is valued for this job position.
• Experience with private school settings or previous teaching positions is recommended not required.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9.0 – 15.0 per week
