Position: Part-time Audio Visual (AV) Technician

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide frontline Audio Visual (AV) and IT support for staff and students under the User Services Section, ensuring smooth daily operations within the Computing Services Centre and across the University.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for both IT hardware/software and Audio Visual (AV) systems.
• Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment in classrooms, conference rooms, and support event venues.
• Provide flexible, on-demand IT support (remote, phone or on-site) for urgent or non-office hours situations).
• Work independently and manage assigned responsibilities effectively.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks, special assignments, and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Multimedia Technology, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a recognized University, College, or Technical Institute.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in AV support, IT support, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Zoom, Teams, and control systems.
• Good knowledge of PC hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Key Details:

• Employment Type: Part-time
• Working Hours: Evening shifts on scheduled teaching days, typically from 6:00pm – 9:00pm, five days per week.
• Start Date: Immediate availability is highly preferred / As soon as available
• Remuneration: Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
