Part-Time Baking Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. The ideal candidate will support daily bakery operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality baked goods and customer service. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in baking, recipe testing, and food handling within a dynamic food industry environment.

Duties

• Assist in preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including cookies, pastries, and syrups
• Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients and assembling products
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and selections
• Follow all food handling regulations and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

• Experience or training in baking is highly desirable
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, especially within the food industry
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, baking, and food safety protocols
• Ability to handle food products safely and hygienically
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Knowledge of packaging techniques for baked goods
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic kitchen experience including use of baking tools and equipment
