What they need
We're looking for a part-time baker on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in San Mateo, CA from 4pm to 1am. No experience necessary, but highly encouraged.
Job Description:
- mix sourdoughs, monitor fermentation, and assist with dividing and shaping dough
- bake a variety of bread and pastries using large, industrial ovens
- work efficiently as a member of a team to produce hundreds of loaves and breads and pastries
- package breads and pastries and assist with loading delivery van
- lots of cleaning and dishes
Desired qualities for an ideal candidate:
- Reliable and compatible with working late nights on Thursdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays
- Team player and positive attitude
- Ability to stand/walk for almost all of your shift. Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in sourdough bread, fermentation, or cooking
- Content with repetitive, physical work and developing skills over time
