Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all food handling meets health regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as cutting, assembling, and portioning ingredients.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing excellent customer service.
• Support with cleaning duties such as dishwashing, surface sanitizing, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards.
• Handle manual tasks like weight handling for food supplies and restocking items as needed.
• Engage with guests warmly, answer questions about menu items, and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Collaborate with team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred; experience in fine dining or catering is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures required.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on in-person interaction.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform manual handling tasks comfortably.
• Experience with POS systems and processing cash transactions is advantageous.
• Familiarity with food industry standards related to dietary accommodations and food handling protocols.
• Previous banquet or catering experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for hospitality is key.
