Part-time Budtender

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Part-time Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the cannabis industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong knowledge of retail sales. As a Budtender, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on product selection and ensuring an engaging, informative shopping experience. Duties

• Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences, needs, and experience levels, utilizing extensive product knowledge.
• Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers about different strains, consumption methods, and effects to enhance their understanding.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail transactions, including cash handling and processing sales accurately.
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring proper merchandising to optimize sales opportunities.
• Uphold store standards by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service through active listening, clear communication, and professional phone etiquette.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counting, product rotation, and documenting discrepancies when necessary.
• Support merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products and promotions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of POS systems and retail math to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash register operations and retail transactions.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects; training will be provided if needed.
• Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
• Experience with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining retail store product knowledge standards.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older in accordance with local regulations governing cannabis sales.
