What they need
Description:
Location: Maryland — mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings
Schedule: About 1 day per week (8 hours), including GC meetings as they come up and answering the Lunex business line during agreed hours
About Lunex
Lunex is a Maryland commercial electrical contractor doing tenant fit-outs, retail, restaurants, and service work for general contractors. The industry is short on good electricians, and we focus on hiring skilled, hardworking people and backing them with training, supervision, and quality checks. We're not trying to win every job — we want the right work, done well, for GCs who come back. We're looking for someone to help us start those relationships.
What You'll Do
Outreach (weekly)
- Research GCs in the Baltimore–DC area, especially those doing commercial fit-outs and retail
- Write personalized emails and make cold calls to project managers, estimators, and preconstruction leads
- Goal: book intro meetings and get Lunex on GC bid lists
GC Meetings
- Schedule meetings and attend them alongside the CEO
- Take notes on each GC's upcoming work, how they pick subs, and what frustrates them
Follow-Up & Staying Top of Mind
- Send a thank-you email within 24 hours of every meeting
- Keep a regular touch rhythm: cookies or small drop-offs, holiday cards, and check-ins when a GC has a new job
- Track every contact in a simple CRM or spreadsheet so no one falls through the cracks
Referral Partners
- Build relationships with tenant-rep brokers and property managers (e.g., CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield), who hear about fit-out projects before a GC is chosen
- Pass along warm introductions and project leads to the CEO
Front Line for Incoming Calls
- Answer the Lunex business phone (provided by Lunex) as the first point of contact for the CEO, VP of Operations, and Estimator
- Screen calls, take clear messages, and route each call to the right person quickly
- Log new leads and bid invitations so nothing gets missed
LinkedIn & Marketing
- Post 2 times per month: completed projects, team spotlights, apprentice milestones, safety and quality stories
- Keep the Lunex LinkedIn page current
Reporting
- Send a short weekly update: calls made, meetings booked, new bid invites, and next steps
Requirements:
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable on the phone and not afraid of a “no”
- A warm, professional first voice for callers
- Clear, friendly, professional email writing
- Organized, with strong follow-through — you do what you say you'll do
- Construction, trades, commercial real estate, or B2B sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation for meetings around Maryland and DC
Other offers great for you!
