Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across assigned territories
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with DOT standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during trip

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and recent experience in commercial truck driving
• experience with tanker trucks and roll-off preferred
• Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance with all trucking laws related to hazardous goods and dangerous materials
