Job Summary

MAD JIM INC is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced Local Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team!

We offer a $1,200 sign-on bonus, local routes, no-touch freight, and the benefit of being home every night.

This position involves transporting freight along designated local routes while ensuring safe operations, timely deliveries, and compliance with applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with automatic and manual transmissions, as applicable.
• Transport freight along designated local routes while meeting scheduled delivery times.
• Perform drop-and-hook operations with no-touch freight.
• Handle occasional live-load or live-unload procedures at customer locations as required.
• Use GPS and navigation systems to follow assigned routes and ensure timely deliveries.
• Comply with applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and road-ready.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, required documentation, and proof of delivery records.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safe driving practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Must have one full year of Class A experience
• Doubles Endorsement is a must, but no experience needed
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Previous commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic and/or manual transmissions.
• Knowledge of freight transportation and delivery procedures.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route-planning systems.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.
