The Position: Part-Time CDL Driver / Maintenance Tech

Requirements:

• Must pass DOT physical
• Must have a valid Class A or Class B driver's license
• Must have a completely clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Must have friendly customer service
• Must be available between 6am and 6pm
• Must be available weekends
• Must be able to work with a flexible schedule
• Must be able to use a mobile phone or tablet
• Commercial driving experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person

Duties

• Provide excellent, friendly customer service to all customers.
• Operate roll-off trucks and other commercial vehicles to collect and transport waste materials.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of containers at designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and service needs.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Perform heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading materials.
• Provide mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
• Perform truck maintenance duties, including but not limited to: detailing trucks inside and out, stocking supplies, checking fluids, airing tires, and completing weekly/monthly checklists.
• Perform dumpster maintenance: cleaning dumpsters, greasing hinges, basic repairs, painting, lettering, and inventory.
