What they need

PART-TIME CHEF Dry Dock Leeds

Location: Dry Dock, Leeds
Hours: Part-time – flexible hours
Contract: Permanent

Looking for a better work-life balance?

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef to join the kitchen team at Dry Dock Leeds.

If you're an experienced chef looking for regular work without the traditional pub-kitchen hours, this could be the role for you

What's different about this role?

No late nights. No early starts. No split shifts.

Our kitchen operates on a schedule designed to give our team a better work-life balance:

  • No early starts – shifts generally begin around 10–11am
  • No late nights – last food orders are around 8pm
  • No split shifts
  • Flexible part-time hours
  • Supportive kitchen team
  • Discounted food
  • Company pension
  • Training and development opportunities

The Role

As a Part-Time Chef, you'll help deliver great-quality pub food while keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking food to company specifications
  • Maintaining consistently high standards throughout service
  • Working efficiently during busy periods
  • Completing preparation and kitchen opening/closing duties
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Following allergen and food safety procedures
  • Carrying out temperature and food safety checks
  • Stock rotation and minimising food waste
  • Working as part of a small, friendly kitchen team

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Takes pride in the food they produce
  • Can remain calm and organised during busy services
  • Has a good understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Can work independently when required
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to get stuck in

Experience in a pub or casual dining environment would be advantageous, but the right attitude and reliability are just as important as experience.

Why Dry Dock?

We're a busy Leeds venue with a friendly kitchen team, and we're looking for someone who wants to become part of the team rather than simply pick up the odd shift.

We're able to offer genuine flexibility around your availability, while still providing regular hours for the right person.

And importantly, you can finish your shift without spending half the night in the kitchen!

Interested?

If you're looking for flexible chef work, decent hours and a better work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply with your CV or contact the Dry Dock Leeds team for more information.

Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 25.0 per week

Benefits:

  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
