Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join a new venture, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for running a busy kitchen, serving brunch and lunch and will have significant input on menus and specials. This a great opportunity to develop and grow with the company, working alongside an experienced front of house team to deliver excellent quality to the customer.

Who are we?

We are Artemis, a Neighbourhood Café & Bar in Colwyn Bay and run by a crew of front of house veterans, taking over from the successful Botanical Lounge in West End. We serve a menu of brunch and lunch alongside great specialty coffee in the day and a great range of cocktails, beer, wine & charcuterie in the evening. We are a new open and require a candidate who can hit the ground running.

Who are we looking for?

The Essentials: The candidate will run the kitchen 1 day a week

• Kitchen Service 1 Year: The candidate needs to have experience cooking in a fast paced environment, ideally handling ticketed orders quickly.
• HACCP/COSHH/Allergen Awareness: The candidate needs at least a level 2 in food hygiene and a good knowledge of COSHH and Allergen awareness. We are targeting 5 stars and the chef will be responsible for kitchen hygiene management on their shifts.

The Good to Haves:

• Brunch Experience: If you know your way around an egg already your half way there.
• Pastry! we'd love to bake as much as possible in house, especially bread, so any experience or passion for baking will be great.
• Extra qualifications or experience in the hospitality industry, especially front of house.
• 2+ professional references from employers/tutors etc.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
