About us

Rustic Roots Eatery is a welcoming community café serving quality coffee and freshly prepared food. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking and enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused kitchen.

The role

You’ll help prepare our breakfast and lunch menu, keep the kitchen running smoothly and contribute ideas for seasonal specials. You’ll work alongside the café team to make sure every dish is fresh, well presented and served on time.

Responsibilities

Prepare breakfasts, light lunches, salads, wraps, bowls and other menu items

Help develop and test new dishes and seasonal specials

Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety requirements

Monitor stock levels and help with ordering

Work efficiently during busy service periods

Communicate well with the front-of-house team

What we’re looking for

Previous experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a café or similar kitchen

A genuine interest in fresh, wholesome food and good presentation

An understanding of food hygiene and dietary requirements

Good organisation and time-management skills

Someone who can work independently and as part of a small team

A reliable, positive approach to work
