Eating House Rowville is seeking an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie to join our established kitchen team.

Operating since 2004, Eating House is a busy premium-casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We offer a broad modern menu and cater for functions, events, takeaway and high-volume services.

About the role

This is a hands-on, part-time position for a capable chef who can confidently manage a section and maintain consistency during busy services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking dishes to established recipes and presentation standards
• Confidently operating across pans, grill, fryer and larder
• Completing mise en place accurately and efficiently
• Managing your section during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
• Maintaining portion control and minimising food waste
• Following food-safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
• Communicating clearly with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team

About you

To be considered, you should have:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experienced cook
• Commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience
• Confidence working independently on a section
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume à la carte service
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Consistent presentation and attention to detail
• A calm, reliable and team-focused approach
• Availability for a combination of weekday and weekend shifts
• Flexibility to work breakfast, lunch and evening services
• Valid Australian working rights
