Part time Cleaner

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to the overall cleanliness and sanitation standards of our organization. As a key member of our custodial staff, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas meet health and safety regulations while supporting the smooth operation of our premises.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Handle custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards
• Operate specialized cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and scrubbers to ensure optimal floor care and appearance
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemical agents, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal in accordance with safety procedures
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or hazards and report issues promptly for resolution
• Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting as needed to support facility upkeep
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and safety procedures followed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is a plus
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools safely and effectively
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness across all areas
• Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or custodial experience is advantageous
