Part-time Company Physician (MD)

Key Responsibilities

Occupational Health Services

• Conduct weekly medical consultations for employees during scheduled clinic hours.
• Diagnose and provide appropriate treatment for minor illnesses and work-related medical concerns.
• Recommend referrals to specialists or hospitals when necessary.
• Assess employee fitness for work and issue medical clearances or recommendations.
• Review medical certificates submitted by employees and provide professional recommendations to HR.

Health & Wellness Programs

• Develop and support workplace wellness initiatives aimed at improving employee health and reducing absenteeism.
• Conduct health education sessions on topics such as stress management, lifestyle diseases, ergonomics, nutrition, and mental wellness.
• Promote preventive healthcare through vaccination campaigns, annual physical examinations, and health awareness activities.

Occupational Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards and other applicable regulations.
• Advise management on workplace health risks and preventive measures.
• Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Committee meetings as the company's medical adviser.
• Assist in the investigation of work-related illnesses and occupational injuries.

Medical Documentation

• Maintain confidential employee medical records in accordance with the Data Privacy Act.
• Prepare monthly medical reports, clinic utilization reports, and health trend analyses.
• Monitor recurring illnesses and recommend preventive interventions.

Emergency Response

• Provide immediate medical assessment during workplace emergencies occurring during clinic duty.
• Coordinate emergency referrals and hospital transfers when necessary.
• Review and recommend improvements to workplace emergency response procedures.

HR, Admin, & Management Support

• Advise HR on employee health-related matters affecting attendance, return-to-work, reasonable accommodations, and medical leave.
• Participate in the evaluation of pre-employment and annual medical examination results when required.
• Support company initiatives related to employee well-being and occupational health.
