Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.

• Monitor food safety practices, ensuring that all food is stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health regulations.

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during peak hours.

• Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a cafe setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
• Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
