Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for catering breakfast and lunch for our residents, ensuring that meals are not only nutritious but also delicious and tailored to individual dietary requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing tea for our care staff to hand out to residents during tea time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for residents, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area at all times, following food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with care staff to ensure that meals meet the nutritional needs of residents.
• Prepare tea for care staff to distribute to residents during tea time, ensuring timely delivery.
• Monitor food inventory and place orders for ingredients as needed.
• Assist with menu planning and development, taking into account resident feedback and dietary guidelines.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation and effective communication.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a residential or care home setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to accommodate the needs of residents and the home.
• A passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals to others.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
