Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, child development center, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various cleaning agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting of supplies and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all facility areas.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, tissues and toliet paper.
• Operate custodial equipment efficiently for floor care, buffing, and polishing to uphold high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary.
• Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus..
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward interacting with staff and visitors.
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or general upkeep work is advantageous.
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
