What they need
Upright Citizens Brigade is looking to add a part-time New York-based Customer Support Coordinator responsible for helping the Training Center and Theater run smoothly by supporting students, patrons, and visiting performers and keeping our spaces clean, organized, and welcoming. This job reports to the Head of Training Center Operations.
This job includes customer service responsibilities that ensure all students, patrons, and visitors have a frictionless experience and a resource for solving any questions or concerns related to their classes or tickets.
This team member will often be one of the first points of contact for anyone who emails or visits the Training Center in person. They will process student registrations, class rosters, and instructor changes, handle ticket exchanges and related patron requests, and provide light outreach support for current initiatives such as class promotions, shows, or partner events. They will also help with routine facility upkeep, including light cleaning, restocking supplies, resetting classrooms, and reporting maintenance needs.
This role requires working in person at our 14th Street location Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM (approximately 20 hours per week).
- Process student registrations, class rosters, and instructor changes.
- Handle ticket exchanges and related patron requests.
- Greet students, patrons, and visiting/outside performers; determine the purpose of each visit and direct them to the appropriate location.
- Respond to and route incoming emails for the Training Center and Theater.
- Schedule classroom and meeting space reservations.
- Communicate with students regarding schedule changes, teacher changes, etc.
- Ensure students and teachers have the documents and information needed before the first day of class, including building instructions and attendance sheets.
- Support light outreach on current initiatives—class promotions, shows, and partner events—as needed.
- Help keep classrooms, the lobby, restrooms, and shared spaces clean and ready for use through routine checks, light sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and removing trash as needed.
- Monitor and restock restroom, cleaning, and front-desk supplies; notify the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
- Set up and reset classrooms and common areas, including arranging chairs and returning supplies to their designated locations.
- Promptly report facility maintenance needs, damaged equipment, and safety concerns; assist with minor upkeep within provided training and coordinate access for maintenance staff or vendors as directed.
- Perform general front-desk and administrative support, including greeting visitors, basic filing, and light errands, as time allows.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
