Part-time Direct Support Professional

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence
• Support residents with medication administration following established protocols and safety guidelines
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during transfers to prevent injury
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and behavioral management strategies tailored to individual needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, client progress, and incident reports
• Follow resident’s rights policies and ensure respectful communication with clients at all times

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and geriatrics best practices
• Ability to perform safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation or community outings

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
