Part-Time Post Partum Doula

Position Overview

Holistic Acupuncture Santa Cruz is seeking a compassionate and skilled Doula to join our growing practice. We are looking for someone passionate about maternal health, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support who is excited to be part of a community-oriented, integrative wellness space.

This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth, ideal for a doula who is collaborative, self-motivated, and committed to improving access to compassionate, culturally respectful perinatal care.

Schedule

• Part-time; flexible days and hours to be discussed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, physical, and informational support to families during pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
• Support families in postpartum recovery.
• Provide education on comfort measures, newborn care, and maternal wellness.
• Connect families with appropriate healthcare providers and community resources.
• Collaborate with HASC practitioners to provide holistic, coordinated care.
• Participate in community events, workshops, and maternal health programs.
• Support outreach initiatives that improve access to perinatal services.
• Maintain professional documentation, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries.

Qualifications

• Doula training or certification.
• Experience supporting pregnant or postpartum families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and aligned with a holistic, patient-centered approach.
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally respectful care.
• Interest in community building, education, and maternal health advocacy.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Bilingual English, Spanish or Mixteco; Spanish strongly preferred.
• Experience working with underserved communities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of breastfeeding, infant feeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Experience facilitating support groups, workshops, or community programs.
• Familiarity with local maternal health resources and perinatal care providers.
