Part-Time Elementary Extended Care Aide

Alsion Montessori School is seeking a dependable and caring Extended Care Aide to support elementary students in our after-school program. This is an on-site, student-facing position working closely with the Elementary Director, teachers, and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise elementary students during dismissal and extended care
• Assist with student check-out and release to families
• Lead or support after-school activities and enrichment
• Support students with routines, behavior, social problem-solving, and emotional regulation
• Assist with snacks, setup, cleanup, and organization of program spaces
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff
• Help maintain a safe, calm, positive after-school environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with school-age children preferred
• Must be dependable and available Monday through Friday from 3:00–6:00 PM
• Patient, responsible, and comfortable actively supervising groups of children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to complete required school employment clearances

Experience in a school, after-school program, childcare program, camp, recreation program, or similar setting is a plus.
