PART TIME Engineering Recruiter

We are looking for an experienced part-time Engineering Recruiter to support hiring efforts for a machinery manufacturing organization in Minnesota. This long-term contract position is expected to average 10-15 hours per week, with workload shifting based on hiring activity and business priorities. The recruiter will lead searches for engineering and quality talent while also assisting with other openings as needed. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, deliver consistent hiring updates, and bring practical recruiting insight in a lean environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end recruitment activities for priority openings, with an emphasis on engineering and quality roles in a manufacturing setting.

• Develop compelling job advertisements and promote opportunities through a range of sourcing platforms to attract talent with relevant experience.

• Identify, evaluate, and engage candidates through proactive sourcing, screening conversations, and ongoing pipeline development.

• Present shortlisted candidates to hiring leaders along with relevant insights on candidate fit, market availability, and compensation trends.

• Advise stakeholders on alternative search approaches, including specialized external firms, when traditional sourcing methods do not yield strong results.

• Maintain organized tracking of recruiting activity and candidate progress using available tools while recommending more efficient methods where appropriate.

• Provide weekly or twice-weekly updates on search status, hiring challenges, and pipeline movement to leadership.

• Support additional hiring needs such as supply chain, accounting, and customer service roles as capacity allows.

• Participate in initial onsite onboarding and team alignment, then operate primarily in a remote capacity for ongoing recruiting support.

• 10+ years of recruiting experience, including substantial success in full-cycle and corporate recruiting environments.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit for engineering roles, particularly within manufacturing or industrial organizations.

• Experience sourcing professionals in areas such as mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, and quality.

• Strong skill in candidate sourcing, screening, and market mapping across platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.

• Ability to work independently and produce results in an environment with limited recruiting infrastructure or formal systems.

• Comfortable using spreadsheets or similar tools to track candidate pipelines and recruitment progress.

• Capable of offering strategic recruiting recommendations, process improvements, and practical guidance to hiring teams.
