What they need

Make meaningful things. Learn a craft. Find a schedule that fits.

No engraving experience required

About the Company

At Everything Etched, we’re not just engraving objects, we’re helping people turn them into something personal. A handwritten message. A meaningful date. A gift that makes someone stop and say, “You made this for me?”

We blend modern technology with hands-on craftsmanship to create personalized products worth giving and keeping. Behind every finished piece is someone who cares about the little things: the right name, the right placement, a clean finish, and packaging that gets it there safely.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a part-time Engraver Operator to join our Scottsdale team. You don’t need engraving experience. Our owner will train you. Bring curiosity, attention to detail, and pride in doing things well.

Your Mission

Turn approved designs into beautifully finished products, then help get them checked, packed, and ready for their next chapter.

Your main focus will be engraving, followed by shipping and quality control.

Who You Are

You like making things—not just talking about making things. You enjoy seeing a project go from instructions on a screen to something you can hold in your hands.

You might recognize yourself here:

  • You’re a detail catcher. A crooked placement, misspelled name, or missing item gets your attention.
  • You’re curious about how things work. Learning a laser engraver or sandblasting process sounds interesting, not intimidating.
  • You take pride in the finished result. You want to hand someone work you feel good about.
  • You know when to ask. If something doesn’t look right, you’d rather pause and clarify than make an expensive guess.
  • You’re comfortable with computers. You can follow digital instructions, learn new software, and keep accurate records.
  • You’re a reliable teammate. You show up for your agreed shifts, communicate clearly, and help keep work moving.
  • You like a little variety. Engraving, inspecting, packing, and organizing can all be part of your day.

Maybe you’re balancing school, another job, or other commitments. We’re open to building a consistent schedule that works for both you and our production needs.

What You’ll Do

Bring the designs to life

  • Learn to operate our laser engravers and sandblaster safely.
  • Review each job’s approved design, product, personalization, and quantity before starting.
  • Prepare products, set up equipment, and follow the appropriate production process.
  • Check your work during production so a small problem doesn’t become a whole batch of problems.
  • Record completed work and flag equipment issues, damaged products, or unclear instructions.

Be the final set of careful eyes

  • Inspect your own engraving against the approved design.
  • Check placement, finish, personalization, and quantities.
  • Approve work that meets the standard and flag anything that needs correction.
  • Complete and record the required quality checks before products move to shipping.

Help deliver the “wow”

  • Match finished products to the correct order.
  • Pack items carefully and prepare shipments using our process.
  • Check that the right products and quantities are going to the right destination.
  • Keep your work area, tools, and supplies organized for the next job.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Learn a real craft. Get hands-on training directly from the owner.
  • See what you accomplished. Your work becomes a finished product—not another item lost in an inbox.
  • Make meaningful things. These aren’t just objects; they’re gifts, memories, and personal stories.
  • Build useful skills. Learn equipment operation, production processes, quality inspection, and shipping.
  • Have a voice. Notice a better way to organize or complete something? We want to hear it.
  • Enjoy scheduling flexibility. We’ll work together on a recurring schedule within our available hours.

What We’re Looking For

No engraving experience required.

We’re looking for someone who can follow instructions, learn safe equipment practices, handle products carefully, and communicate when something needs attention.

Experience with production, shipping, crafts, tools, or quality inspection is helpful—but it isn’t a prerequisite.

Our Culture

We care about personal ownership, pride in craft, reliability, creativity, teamwork, and practical problem-solving.

Here, taking ownership doesn’t mean pretending you know everything. It means checking your work, speaking up early, learning from mistakes, and helping the team deliver something we’re proud of.

Doing it well matters. Doing it safely matters. Asking questions is welcome.

Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Approximately 20–30 per week.
  • Shift length: At least four hours.
  • Weekday availability: Shifts may be arranged between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Monday: One shift each week is required. Ideally within 7 a.m.–5 p.m., with 9 a.m.–4 p.m. preferred.
  • Optional Saturday: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Possible schedules: Longer Monday/Wednesday/Friday shifts, shorter weekday shifts, or another agreed combination.
  • Pay: $20–$25/hour depending on relevant experience.
  • Pay review: At approximately 90 days, based on skills learned and responsibilities demonstrated; an increase is not guaranteed.
  • Location: Onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona.

How to Apply

Send your résumé or a short summary of your work experience, and tell us:

  • What interests you about this role?
  • What days and hours could you consistently work?
  • What’s something you’ve made, fixed, organized, or learned that you’re proud of?

It doesn’t have to involve engraving. We’re interested in how you approach learning and doing good work.

Come learn the craft. Help us make something worth keeping.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
