Penguin Coding School is dedicated to making coding accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We're a fast-growing coding and robotics education company helping kids ages 3-18 build confidence through technology, engineering, and creativity.

Overview

We are looking for a Part-Time Event Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our event operations, attending community events, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Hours are limited and based on our event schedule, with occasional weekend shifts that last a few hours.

Duties

• Attend community events in the areas we serve, including Acton, Brookline, Lexington, Newton, and Wellesley.
• Assist with the setup and packing up of event materials
• Help distribute promotional materials and answer basic questions about our program.
• Help engage children through simple activities and demonstrations
• Wear the Penguin mascot costume at select events

Qualifications

• Be available for occasional weekend shifts based on the event schedule
• Reliable transportation to and from event locations
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with children and families
• Reliable and punctual with weekend availability
• Comfortable wearing a mascot costume, or willing to do so
