What they need
About the role
Work directly with the Director and get involved in a bit of everything: operations, projects, tenders, contracts, compliance, marketing and growth. No two days are the same, and it's a great way to learn how a business really works rather than being limited to one area.
This is a part-time position of ~20 hours per week, based in Mt Eden, Auckland. Hours are flexible across Monday-Friday.
Who are we?
We're a logistics company, but there's much more to it than trucks. Tenders, contracts, compliance and marketing all keep us moving, which is why this role gives you exposure to so many parts of the business. No transport background? No problem. Learning the industry is part of the fun.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the executive's email inbox, phone calls and enquiries
- Organising the calendar, daily diary, meetings and travel
- Assisting with tender and audit preparation
- Preparing and maintaining contracts
- Updating SOPs and company policies
- Supporting business growth and development activities
- Maintaining our website and social media, and helping shape our marketing
- General business and executive support as required
About you
- Organised: You can juggle competing priorities, keep accurate records and help keep things on track.
- A strong communicator: You'll work with clients and with virtual and international teams, so clear, confident written and verbal communication is important.
- Reliable and discreet: You'll handle confidential information and we need to be able to trust you with it.
- Comfortable with technology: We use AI tools extensively across the business. Experience with advanced AI tools is a plus, but a willingness to learn and embrace new technology matters more.
- Commercially curious: A basic understanding of legal or commercial principles is an advantage, as is study or experience in business, commerce, law or a similar field.
- A second set of eyes: Don't be afraid to question things, challenge an idea or play devil's advocate. We value constructive debate and a different perspective.
Previous work experience isn't required. We care more about your ability to organise, communicate, learn quickly and take responsibility. Training is provided.
You must be eligible to work in NZ (citizen, resident, or a visa with work rights).
What we offer
- Flexible part-time hours to fit around study or other commitments
- A friendly, supportive environment
- Broad exposure to all parts of a business, working closely with an executive
- Room to grow and take on more responsibility over time
Other offers great for you!
