Finance & Data Analyst | SQL, Power BI & FP&A

Work Setup: Remote (10-20 hours/week)

Schedule: Central European Time

We’re looking for a Finance & Data Analyst who can bridge financial analysis with hands-on data work. This role is ideal for someone with a strong finance/FP&A or accounting foundation who is also comfortable working with SQL, Excel, and modern data and reporting tools.

What you’ll do

* Pull, clean, and analyze financial and operational data from different

systems.

* Build and maintain reliable financial datasets, mappings, and reporting processes.

* Perform reconciliations against the general ledger, trial balance, bank data, and operational drivers.

* Support month-end close, financial reporting, consolidations, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow analysis.

* Investigate variances, data inconsistencies, duplicates, FX issues, and intercompany differences.

* Build and improve reporting templates, dashboards, and recurring processes.

* Translate financial data into clear insights and first-draft recommendations.

* Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve reporting workflows.

What we’re looking for

* 3–6 years of experience in accounting, audit, controlling, FP&A, financial analysis, or finance a

nalytics.

* Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

* Hands-on SQL experience, including joins and aggregations; CTEs/window functions are a plus.

* Advanced Excel, including Power Query.

* Understanding of data modeling concepts such as data grain, keys, and fact/dimension tables.

* Experience with automated or scheduled data refreshes.

* Strong English communication skills.

* Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable working with deadlines.

* Ability to work with at least 6 hours of overlap with Central European working hours.

Nice to have

Experience with Power BI, Python, dbt, APIs, ERP systems, multi-entity/multi-currency environments, or an accounting qualification.
