Part-time Foreign Language Instructor (various languages)

The International Language Institute in Washington, DC is seeking experienced language instructors to teach Foreign Languages in an in-person setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for language teachers who enjoy working with adult learners and teaching in a supportive, professional environment.

• Position: Language Instructor / Language Teacher
• Languages: Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh, Korean, Mandarin, Mongolian, Norwegian, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Turkoman, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, Wu Chinese, Other
• Location: Washington, DC or Rockville, MD
• Class Size: 1-12 students
• Employment Type: Part-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Prior language teaching experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively teach and engage a small group of students
• Experience with hybrid technology (Meeting OWL, Zoom, etc.)

Important Location Requirement

Priority is given to applicants who are able and willing to teach in-person at our locations in either Washington, DC (main office) or Rockville, MD.
