TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio are seeking a dynamic and energetic Part-Time Front Desk / Optical Support Specialist to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our optical practice, providing exceptional customer service while supporting clinical and optical operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to eyewear fitting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative excellence with hands-on optical support, all while working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

This part-time role will primarily focus on front-desk duties, with cross-training and backup support in our optical. Time will be split between our TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio locations, up to 30 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Welcoming patients and checking them in and out
• Answering phone calls professionally
• Scheduling appointments and assisting with patient questions
• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
• Collecting copays and balances
• Maintaining accurate patient information and supporting daily office flow
• Assisting the optician/optical department during busy periods, including helping patients, locating orders, dispensing eyewear, and keeping optical areas organized

The ideal candidate:

• Provides excellent customer service and enjoys helping people
• Is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Is willing to work at both office locations
• Is comfortable cross-training in optical and front-desk responsibilities

Experience in optometry, front desk, healthcare, or optical is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who brings a great personality, strong customer-service skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

This is a part-time position, scheduled up to 30 hours per week. Availability to work at both TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 30.0 per week
