Part-Time Grade 12 Physical Sciences Tutor

About The Role

Academic Catalysts is looking for a highly capable and experienced Grade 12 Physical Sciences Tutor to help matric students master Physics and Chemistry, strengthen their calculation and analytical skills, and prepare for their final examinations.

Minimum Requirements

• Achieved 80% or above in Grade 12 Physical Sciences.
• Must submit proof of Grade 12 Physical Sciences results upon request.
• At least 1 year of tutoring experience.
• Strong understanding of the Grade 12 Physical Sciences curriculum, including both Physics and Chemistry.
• Ability to explain scientific concepts, calculations, formulas, and chemical equations clearly.
• Familiarity with examination techniques and marking guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to student improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide structured Grade 12 Physical Sciences tutoring aligned with the applicable curriculum.
• Teach and revise Physics and Chemistry concepts.
• Assist with calculations, formulas, chemical equations, and problem-solving methods.
• Work through past examination papers and marking guidelines.
• Help students improve their understanding of questions and the correct presentation of answers.
• Identify weaknesses and develop targeted revision exercises.
• Monitor student progress and prepare appropriate lesson materials.
