Part-time Hokkien Speech Data Annotator

Work Scope:

• Listening to or watching recordings and adding the required annotations.
• Reviewing each section of the recording and noting down what it means.
• Transcribing and checking Singapore Hokkien recordings in Hokkien, Mandarin and English, including speech where different languages are mixed.
• Checking computer-generated transcripts and correcting any mistakes, as well as identifying recordings where the audio is unclear or the speech is difficult to understand.
• Using the assigned software to carry out transcription and annotation according to the project’s guidelines and quality requirements.
• Meeting the required work targets and quality standards, and communicating with the project team to clarify any unclear points and ensure the annotations are consistent.

Requirements:

• Proficient in listen and written Hokkien & Chinese.
• Able to understand different Hokkien accents and speaking styles.
• Good attention to detail and data quality.
