Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations using established table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and waitlist status
• Support food safety and cleanliness standards in the host area to ensure a welcoming environment
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth guest transitions and efficient service

Skills

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and table counts
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously
• Knowledge of hospitality principles and guest relations best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Familiarity with food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
