Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow, maintaining organizational efficiency
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to enhance guest relations and satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring food safety standards are upheld
• Use POS systems accurately for reservations and guest tracking, supporting overall restaurant operations

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow seamlessly
• Basic math skills for handling table counts, guest counts, and transaction processing when necessary
• Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to hospitality settings
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
• Experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
