Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across various building systems to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for facility care but not wanting to work full time. No weekends/holidays, except very rare emergency situations. Semi-retired citizens highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of building interior and exterior areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facilities equipment.
• Daily service calls and preventive maintenance work, including deep carpet cleaning.
• Perform maintenance painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and electrical work to address routine issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and mechanical components using schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; interpret schematics and technical manuals as needed.
• Ensure all facilities equipment maintenance complies with safety standards and operational guidelines to promote a secure environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on skills with hand tools and electrical equipment like door lock repair.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and the use of testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to perform residential painting and carpentry tasks with attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Prior maintenance experience in hotel is highly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English for communication purpose.
