We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and organised housekeeper to help keep a busy family home running smoothly.

The role will initially be approximately 9 hours per week, ideally spread over three weekdays, with the potential for additional hours in the future.

We already employ a regular cleaner, so this is not primarily a cleaning role. Instead, we’re looking for someone who enjoys keeping a home organised and taking care of the everyday jobs that make a household run well.

Typical duties would include:

• General tidying and keeping the house organised
• Laundry, folding and putting clothes away
• Ironing
• Changing and making beds
• Preparing simple family meals
• Keeping kitchen and household areas organised
• Occasional light household tasks as needed

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, discreet, proactive and trustworthy, and who is comfortable working independently and noticing what needs doing without always needing direction.

Previous housekeeping or similar experience would be preferred, and excellent references are essential.

Applicants should have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.

This position is offered on a self-employed basis, so applicants should be registered as self-employed and responsible for their own tax and National Insurance. Ideally, you will already provide housekeeping services to other clients.

Hours: Approximately 9 hours per week over 3 days
Rate: £20 per hour
Location: Sale, Greater Manchester
Start: By arrangement
