Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various chemical agents safely while executing sanitation procedures in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly.
• Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure optimal results while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or minor repairs when required.
• Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, manual lifting, heavy lifting practices, and general custodial operations to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety protocols and handling safety procedures for chemical use.
• Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and facility maintenance.
• Good customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
• Prior custodial experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
