Job Summary

We are seeking a Part Time Janitor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities by performing cleaning tasks efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess janitorial experience, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols, and contribute positively to our clients' environments through diligent custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in assigned areas.
• Handle cleaning with various chemical agents following safety procedures to ensure proper sanitation.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or cleaning supplies.
• Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Maintain supplies and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as residential painting or basic repairs as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning procedures adhere to sanitation standards suitable for commercial and residential environments.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred, with familiarity in commercial cleaning settings.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Experience with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
• Customer service skills are desirable for interacting professionally with clients or staff.
• Exposure to industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a clean, safe environment.
