Part Time Kitchen Helper

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part Time Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and support the overall food service operations. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for tempura, including cleaning and portioning shrimp, cutting vegetables, and mixing batter
• Support the fry station and help assemble rice bowls, udon, and side dishes
• Follow recipes and portion guides so every order is consistent
• Wash dishes and keep workstations, utensils, and equipment clean throughout the shift
• Receive, label, and store deliveries, and rotate stock properly
• Follow food safety and handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination
• Work with the rest of the team to get orders out quickly and accurately during busy hours

Qualifications

• Restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic knife skills, or willingness to learn
• Able to work safely around hot oil and kitchen equipment
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 40lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Food Handler certificate, or willingness to obtain one after hire
• Interest in Japanese food is welcome
