Duties

• Deliver legal documents promptly and accurately to individuals or organizations involved in court cases
• Follow specific instructions for serving papers, including locating and verifying recipients
• Maintain detailed records of each service attempt, including dates, times, and outcome.
• Use courier skills to navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• File completed service affidavits or proofs of service with appropriate courts or agencies
• Conduct follow-up visits or attempts as necessary to ensure successful service completion

Requirements

• Prior experience as a courier or in a similar delivery role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and filing
• Ability to navigate local areas efficiently using maps or GPS devices
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, recipients, and team members
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required for timely deliveries
• Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods during service attempts
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
