Job Description

Concorde Suites Extended Stay Hotel is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Maintenance & Groundskeeper.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can assist with maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our property.

This position is ideal for someone with general maintenance or handyman experience who is looking for part-time hours with some flexibility.

The selected candidate will work a few scheduled hours throughout the week and participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to respond to emergency maintenance situations.

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Perform basic repairs and routine maintenance throughout the property.
• Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general handyman tasks within qualifications.
• Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues in guest rooms and common areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to keep rooms and equipment in good working condition.
• Report major maintenance concerns to management.

Property Cleaning & Groundskeeping

• Help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel exterior.
• Regularly inspect and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, walkways, and common areas.
• Pick up litter, remove debris, and empty exterior trash containers.
• Assist with keeping the building exterior clean and presentable.
• Help with basic landscaping and grounds upkeep as needed.
• Identify and report safety hazards or areas needing attention.

Weekend Emergency On-Call Rotation

• Participate in a rotating weekend emergency maintenance schedule.
• Be available by phone during assigned on-call weekends.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls when scheduled.
• Be able to report to the property when an emergency requires an in-person response.
• Communicate with management regarding emergency situations and completed repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous general maintenance, hotel maintenance, property maintenance, or handyman experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Must have reliable transportation, especially for emergency on-call responsibilities.
• Must be available to participate in rotating week & weekend emergency coverage.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and climbing ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must provide acceptable documentation verifying identity and authorization to work in the United States upon hire.
• Must maintain a professional attitude when interacting with hotel guests and staff.

Work Schedule

This is a PART-TIME position, not a full-time position.

• A few scheduled working hours throughout the week.
• Additional hours may be available depending on property needs.
• Rotating week & weekend on-call availability for maintenance emergencies.
• Emergency call-ins may be required during assigned on-call weekends.

Please note: Weekend on-call availability is an important requirement of this position. Applicants must be willing and able to participate in the rotation.
