Part-time MANDARIN Language Instructor (ONSITE)

Synopsis of Role

A Mandarin Language Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality Mandarin language instruction to students of various proficiency levels. This role involves developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and creating an engaging and immersive learning environment.

Essential Functions

• Develops and delivers comprehensive lesson plans that meet the needs of students at different proficiency levels
• Teaches Mandarin language classes, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Fosters a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practice
• Evaluates student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments

Preferred Education and Experience

• Native Mandarin speaker or non- native speaker with HSK Level 6 proficiency (advanced or near-native professional proficiency)
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, Chinese Language, or a related field
• Has broad knowledge of the Mandarin language and grammar
• Proficient in using online teaching tools and platforms
• Competent, dedicated and highly-motivated Mandarin Teacher
• Strong written and verbal communication in Mandarin and English languages
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with others
• Recognizes different values and styles, and respects others' unique characteristics or strengths
• Acts confidently in uncertain circumstances; works effectively in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrates patience and persistence
• Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-centric attitude
• Quick learner and willing to adapt to a dynamic working environment
